The full comparison

Jobber is the recommended fit for a small home-service business coordinating office staff and field workers through quotes, scheduled visits, invoices and payments. Connect is the sensible starting point when accounting sync and automated follow-ups matter, because Jobber’s pricing page places both there.

JobNimbus is a conditional fit for roofing and exterior contractors organizing sales, production, documents and billing around shared jobs. Its product page describes that workflow with roofing measurement and supplier connections. The deciding difference is service-visit coordination versus roofing sales-to-production handoffs; JobNimbus buyers should confirm the subscription quote, automation allowance and accounting setup before committing.

This comparison draws on Contractor Software Hub’s reviews of Jobber (checked October 7, 2026) and JobNimbus (checked October 13, 2026), and the vendor pages they cite.

What does a five-person team cost?

Jobber publishes subscription prices; JobNimbus requires a quote. The table separates flexible monthly billing from prepaid annual billing and identifies the feature gates that affect the decision.

Plan and sourceMonthly priceAnnual billingUsers included or published limitGate that matters
Jobber Core, pricing page$49 per month, no commitment; $39 per month with a one-year commitment$29 per month, billed annuallyIncludes 1Basic quoting, scheduling and invoicing

Jobber Grow 5-user package, pricing page$299 per month without commitment; $259 per month with a one-year commitment$229 per month billed annuallyIncludes 5Job costing and two-way texting
Jobber Plus, pricing page$499 per month without commitment; $439 per month with a one-year commitment$399 per month billed annuallyIncludes 5Grouped crews and bundled add-ons
JobNimbus Essentials, pricing pageQuote requiredQuote requiredUp to 33 boards; no multi-location support
JobNimbus Pro, pricing pageQuote requiredQuote requiredUp to 105 boards; up to 2 locations
JobNimbus Premium, pricing pageQuote requiredQuote requiredUp to 19Unlimited boards; up to 5 locations

A five-person team falls into JobNimbus Pro under its pricing page’s user limits. Premium can matter sooner, because separate sales, production and service boards may use up the lower tiers’ board allowances. Request role-specific charges, add-ons and the next hire’s cost. Jobber Connect’s lower-priced package excludes job costing, which begins on Grow according to its pricing page; the JobNimbus review does not cover job costing, so a buyer who needs it should ask JobNimbus to demonstrate and quote it before comparing packages.

Seat rules also need attention:

  • Jobber Core: Its team-management guide permits one additional seat, and its pricing page lists that seat at $29 per month, bringing two-user Core to $78 per month without commitment; more seats require Connect.
  • Larger Jobber Grow teams: The Grow guide says up to 10 users, while the pricing page sells a 15-user package. Purchases above 10 need written capacity and price confirmation.
  • JobNimbus expansion: Its pricing FAQ requires upgrading beyond a tier’s limit, while its team-management guide says to add a seat when none are available, without saying whether that works beyond the tier’s user limit. Budget provisionally for the higher tier and confirm whether extra seats are permitted.
  • Separate logins: Jobber’s terms and JobNimbus’s terms prohibit shared logins, so price a named seat for every person who needs access. JobNimbus’s terms also permit retroactive charges for unauthorized users.

JobNimbus’s pricing FAQ says there are no required setup or onboarding fees, but its Pro Services page quotes paid on-site and remote setup separately. A migration quote should state what is included and what requires paid assistance.

Jobber’s pricing page lists online card processing at 2.9% plus $0.30 and its ACH guide lists ACH at 1%; JobNimbus’s payment-fee guide lists starting rates of 3.2% plus $0.29 per card transaction and 1% for ACH, capped at $50 per transaction. JobNimbus’s payment-fee guide also lists a one-time $20 boarding fee deducted from the first disbursement and says some customers have different processing rates.

Jobber suits an owner needing a published subscription budget. JobNimbus remains a roofing-workflow candidate pending a complete quote; the available prices cannot establish which costs less.

Which feature gates change the choice?

Jobber’s Core guide includes recurring and one-off schedules. Its Grow guide adds optional quote items, markups and custom follow-up automations, supporting service businesses that need more quoting control.

Mobile scheduling has important boundaries. Jobber’s crew-scheduling guide places grouped crews on Plus and Jobber.com, outside the mobile app. Its routing guide likewise requires Jobber.com and limits optimization to anytime visits. Teams that need to group crews or optimize routes from the mobile app, or optimize timed appointments, should look elsewhere; confirm JobNimbus’s exact scheduling behavior separately.

For costing, Jobber’s job-costing guide covers recurring and one-off jobs, while its Grow guide describes one-off costing. Make an upgrade for recurring-job costing conditional on confirmation for the intended account.

JobNimbus’s boards documentation describes visual production tracking. Its measurement guide supports roofing and wall calculations through linked product items; ad-hoc typed items do not calculate automatically.

Buyer warning: JobNimbus’s first pricing comparison lists automation allowances of 10, 30 and 100 per month, while its second pricing comparison lists those numbers as active-automation limits. Its automation guide describes active rules; budget from a written quote covering both rule count and monthly executions before choosing a tier.

Jobber’s pricing page lists Marketing Suite at $99 per month, Pipeline at $49 per month and Receptionist at $29 per month, with all three included in Plus. Its marketing subscription guide says add-ons bill monthly only and their cancellations receive no credit or refund.

Jobber’s communications budget also needs confirmation: its add-on guide lists 100 Receptionist conversations monthly, while its Receptionist guide lists 30 for $29 per month, then $0.79 each. The latter says Plus includes unlimited usage; confirm the purchased allowance in writing.

Jobber’s texting guide says ordinary two-way texting has no additional message charge on eligible subscriptions, while JobNimbus’s pricing page makes Engage a quoted Communications Bundle for current customers; request JobNimbus’s message allowances and overage rates in writing.

Choose Jobber for office-led service scheduling within those limits. Shortlist JobNimbus for roofing estimates and production boards when the quoted automation capacity fits actual work.

Which integrations fit the business?

QuickBooks availability alone does not settle the choice. The accountant should approve record transfers and corrections before either system becomes the billing workflow.

  • Jobber: Its pricing page starts QuickBooks Online on Connect. The integration guide describes new sync as one-way from Jobber in real time; legacy sync requires manual runs and corrections in both systems after invoices or payments have synced. Jobber’s legacy guide says migration to the new integration cannot be reversed, so the accountant should approve a sample invoice, correction, payment and refund first.
  • JobNimbus: Its pricing page includes QuickBooks on every tier. The Accounting Sync guide offers one-way transfer in either direction or two-way sync, but all locations share one QuickBooks Online account. The same Accounting Sync guide says the Self-employed/Solopreneur edition is unsupported.
  • JobNimbus record limits: Its Accounting Sync guide excludes work orders, material orders and vendors. Its other Online guide also describes expense exclusions; confirm the applicable accounting experience.
  • JobNimbus taxes: Its tax guide says taxes must be managed in QuickBooks once the integration is enabled, so the bookkeeper should approve this setup before estimators send quotes.

For roofing, JobNimbus’s product page describes CompanyCam photos, EagleView measurements and QXO material pricing and ordering. Its pricing comparisons disagree on Pro’s integration limit, showing both five and five-plus. Obtain written approval for a sixth connection or budget a Premium quote, including clarification of which connections count.

Jobber’s Home Depot guide offers a US supplier catalog for quoting on all four plans, excluding legacy QuickBooks accounts. This suits material-based service estimates, subject to checking current costs before purchase.

Xero buyers face another conflict: Jobber’s comparison page says only QuickBooks connects, and its pricing FAQ names only QuickBooks. Its Xero guide supports Connect and Grow in specified countries. Confirm account availability with Jobber and ask JobNimbus directly about the required Xero workflow.

Jobber fits service teams whose accountant accepts its applicable sync. JobNimbus merits evaluation for roofing connections and selectable sync direction, provided branches can share one Online file. Businesses requiring separate QuickBooks Online files for branches should look elsewhere, because JobNimbus’s Accounting Sync guide requires all locations to share one account.

How do trials and cancellation differ?

Both offer 14 days without a credit card, according to Jobber’s pricing FAQ and JobNimbus’s pricing page. JobNimbus’s pricing page does not identify the trial plan or allowances, so request a trial matching the quote. JobNimbus’s terms permit deletion of trial data without notice when the trial is cancelled or does not convert, so keep trial documents backed up.

Jobber’s trial offers Grow features, but its texting guide, dedicated-number guide and add-on guide exclude two-way texting, dedicated numbers and add-ons from it. Arrange a separate demonstration if they decide the purchase.

Jobber’s terms trigger billing after the trial if a recurring paid account is selected, unless cancelled before the first invoice; JobNimbus’s terms authorize charging a payment method on file after an uncancelled trial.

Jobber’s terms make subscription fees non-refundable. Flexible monthly cancellation takes effect after the paid period; annual monthly installments remain payable through the committed year.

Buyer warning: Jobber’s billing-change guide describes downgrades at the next billing date, while its terms prohibit mid-term downgrades on annual subscriptions billed monthly. The terms also give conflicting annual cancellation deadlines: at least 30 days before renewal, subject to a renewal-notice exception, and before renewal. Budget the full commitment, plan around the stricter notice deadline and obtain written effective dates.

JobNimbus’s terms require at least 30 days’ cancellation notice; late notice extends billing into the following period. Remaining committed-term fees become immediately payable on early cancellation, except for uncured material breach by JobNimbus. Fees are non-refundable except where expressly provided, with no partial-period credits. If a quote includes a marketing discount, the terms let JobNimbus revoke it and bill back the difference from standard fees when promotional obligations are unmet.

JobNimbus’s Engage cancellation guide says service ends after the current billing period, while its terms push cancellations with insufficient notice into the following period. Confirm the applicable deadline and reserve another period’s charge when cancelling with insufficient notice.

Seat cleanup also affects exit costs. Jobber’s team-management guide requires reducing paid seats separately from unassigning workers. JobNimbus’s team-management guide describes both settings-based removal and contacting an executive to stop billing; obtain confirmation of the reduction. Its roles-and-seats guide says seats left on the subscription receive no refund or credit.

Jobber’s terms allow subscription price changes on 14 days’ notice and renewals at the then-current price; JobNimbus’s terms also provide for renewals at then-current rates, require at least 30 days’ written notice of price changes and allow cancellation before the new price applies.

Export Jobber data before cancelling, because its cancellation guide says account-data access ends with the subscription; ask JobNimbus for the export format and fee before signing, because its terms allow a reasonable data-export fee.

Jobber’s flexible monthly option suits a service business still validating workflows. JobNimbus remains conditional on acceptable quoted terms and demonstrated functionality; neither annual commitment offers an easy reversal.

What do customers report?

Jobber has 4.6/5 from 1,487 reviews on Capterra and 4.6/5 from 530 on G2. JobNimbus has 4.6 from 482 on Capterra and 4.5 from 144 on G2. JobNimbus has substantially fewer reviews on these platforms, although both have substantial public customer evidence.

On Capterra, Cheryl H. praised Jobber’s centralized scheduling and billing while wanting stronger reporting and automation customization. That account was vendor-invited and incentivized. In a non-incentivized account, Jessica P. reported reducing staff seats to keep a five-person crew within budget.

Capterra also lists “Frequent technical glitches” among Jobber’s review themes. On the same platform, Victoria E. praised usability and support but reported login bugs and difficulty scheduling work before assigning people; that account was vendor-invited and incentivized.

For JobNimbus, Nikki C. on Capterra praised roofing organization, documents and scheduling while noting clutter, a learning curve and occasional lag. Tara S. on G2 reported that completing a shared task removed it from everyone’s list. Several JobNimbus accounts were marked incentivized.

Two older Capterra allegations warrant specific checks: Mark K. reported a missed crucial email, and Brandon B. alleged signed-document loss during a jobs transition. JobNimbus acknowledged the email concern and offered Brandon B. a product-manager discussion. Verify correspondence and retained contracts before migration.

These individual reports favor testing Jobber’s reporting and seat budget for service teams, and JobNimbus’s shared tasks and document retention for roofing teams. They establish evaluation questions, not how frequently problems occur.

When should a business choose Jobber?

The Jobber review recommends it for small home-service teams. The strongest reasons are concrete:

  • Service visits: The Core guide supports recurring and one-off schedules.
  • Office follow-ups: The pricing page puts accounting sync and automated follow-ups on Connect.
  • Published budgeting: The pricing page lists five-user packages with flexible monthly billing.
  • Costing and quotes: The Grow guide adds costing and quoting controls, subject to the feature limits above.

Choose Jobber when those service workflows solve the main problem and office-only routing and crew tools are acceptable.

When should a business shortlist JobNimbus?

The JobNimbus review keeps its recommendation conditional. Its strongest reasons concern roofing work:

  • Shared jobs: The product page connects sales, production, documents and billing.
  • Roofing inputs: The product page describes EagleView measurements and QXO materials.
  • Production boards: The pricing page publishes board allowances by tier.
  • Accounting direction: The Accounting Sync guide offers selectable sync direction within one Online account.

Shortlist JobNimbus when those capabilities address roofing handoffs, then require a complete quote, confirmed allowances and a successful accounting demonstration before signing.

Frequently asked questions

JobNimbus is the conditional shortlist choice for shared roofing jobs and supplier connections described on its product page. The Jobber review recommends it for small home-service businesses coordinating scheduled visits and does not assess it for roofing.
